Ode to the kite
Like a kite that’s sewn with care
A kite takes flight into the air.
It’s fabric stretched and neatly tied
As it gets ready to be tested and tried.
The frame like seams that hold a shirt
Supports the kite and fills it with mirth.
And just as buttons hold the shirt In place,
The tail of the kite help keep its pace.
The wind, like fabric soft and light
Fills the kite and give it flight.
And just as colours make a shirt look right
The hues of the kite, make the sky so bright.
So, like a shirt that’s made with skill
A kite takes flight with a soaring thrill.
And just as clothes are worn with pride
The kite soars high as we gaze eyes wide.
